Sunter Lake Arrangement Reaches 30 Percent

Until end of January, Sunter Lake arrangement which is run by North Jakarta Government at Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Tanjung Priok has progressed for 30 percent.

North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad said, arrangement is run to prepare for Sunter Lake Festival which is held at the end of February. Hopefully in the future, Sunter Lake can be one of tourism icons in North Jakarta.   

"We will make it better for everyone. Its progress has reached 30 percent, as we expected," he informed, Sunday (1/28).

He mentioned, this arrangement is just the beginning. Each UKPDs only runs their routine duties without any special allocation while waiting for further master plan from provincial level.

"We do this arrangement before provincial instructs more comprehensive master plan. We make it cleaner first," he added.

North Jakarta Vice Mayor mentioned some arrangements in Sunter Lake area such as sidewalk arrangement, PKL arrangement, fishing pond relocation, and more street lighting installation.

Currently, he added, his side has relocated fishing pond to the east side of Sunter Lake south section, 18 food and beverages traders to the west side of south section, installed five spotlights, and replaced 42 LED streetlights (PJU)s.

Meanwhile, for sidewalk repair in north side and west side of Sunter Lake west section are on progress. Especially in west side that will have a plaza and sidewalk arrangement.

"PKL and fishing pond owners disassemble their stalls by themselves. We will place PKL in tents temporarily," he conveyed.
